* 215 BC: General Marcellus and his Roman soldiers scale the
walls of Syracuse, Sicilly. Marcellus orders his soldiers: “Let no one dare lay a violent hand on Archimedes. This man shall be our personal guest.” One of his men finds Archimedes
drawing geometric figures in the sand and, ignoring the general’s orders, stabs Archimedes. “Before you kill me,”
implores Archimedes, “let me finish my circle... They’ve taken away my body, but I shall take away my mind“...
...Born in III BC (Sicily), Archimedes is regarded as the greatest mathematician and
scientist of antiquity. He probably studied in Alexandria, and was an expert on hydrostatics, static
mechanics, plane equilibriums, the quadrature of the parabola, spheres and cylinders, floating bodies, spirals, conoids, spheroids,
etc. Called the Father of Integral Calculus, Arquimedes’ tomb was engraved, according to his will and his theorem
(Vsphere= 2/3 volume of smallest cylinder enclosing it), with a cylinder circumscribing a sphere.

* Number theory
began in Ancient Greece... For Pythagoras and his followers the first perfect number is 6 (i.e. divisible by 1, 2, & 3, and the sum of 1, 2 & 3). The second perfect number
is 28 (i.e. divisible by 1, 2, 4, 7 & 14, and sum of all of them)...
God created the world in 6 days (S. Augustine: "God created all things in 6 days because this number is perfect), the moon
orbits Earth every 28 days... Professor Peter Hagis, Jr: "Perfect numbers are probably the oldest unsolved problem..."
30 of these numbers have been discovered and the largest of them has 130,100 digits... Euclides found the formula
for the perfect number...

* Newton penned more than 1,300,000 words on biblical &
theological subjects (e.g. the language of prophets, 666 biblical prophecies...) The Middle Ages: Jewish cabalists claimed that much of the Old Testament is in code , and when
this code is broken everything makes sense. The method employed was gematria, i.e. word or phrases turn into numbers
by giving letters a predetermined number and adding these numbers up. Words and phrases are related to other words or phrases
that yield the same sum. E.g. ‘Abraham looks up and three men stood by him.’ The cabalists discovered that these
men were Michael, Gabriel & Raphael. When the letters, in original Hebrew, are replaced by their numerical equivalents,
they sum to 701, as do the letters in ‘these are Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael'...

* ...It didn’t take long before Christians adopted the Cabalist
approach. In the New Testament (Revelation 13:11) we are warned of the evil beast, a man associated with the number 666. According to some, the Antichrist was Nero,
because when his name is written in Greek ( i.e. Neron) and ‘Caesar’ is appended to it, the words ‘Neron
Caesar’(once translated into Hebrew and assigned each letter with its numerical equivalent) enumerate to 666!!... XVI
AD: Martin Luther is made the new Beast by mathematician Peter
Bungus: Latinise his name---> ’Martin Lutera’---> M(30)+A(1)+R(80)+T(100)+I(9)+N(40)+L(20)+U(200)+T(100)+E(5)+R(80)+A(1)
= 666!!... Some non-round ugly numbers are there in the Bible because the ancients considered them to have a mystical
value. E.g. John (21:22): On the sea of Tiberias, Simon Peter drew the net to land full of great fishes, 'an hundred and
fifty and three.' 153=1+2+3... +16+17; 153=1+(1x2)+(1x2x3)... +(1x2x3x4x5);
153= (1x1x1)+(5x5x5)+(3x3x3), etc... The Pythagoreans identified certain numbers as friendly (Pyhtagoras:'A
friend is the other I, such as are 220 and 284). 220 is divisible by
2, 4, 5, 10, 11, 20, 22, 44, 55, and 110; 2+4+5+10+11+...+110 = 284; 284
is divisible by 1, 2, 4, 71, and 142; 1+2+4+71+142=220.

* Some of the best codes used by governments are made out or
depend on primer numbers. In this kind of code, letters are converted
to numbers. Some of the computational procedures used are easy to execute but extremely hard to undo. As long as we cannot
come up with a number theory which explains how large numbers can be factorised into their components prime numbers,
governments and companies relying on secret communication and codes involving prime numbers are safe... The National Security Agency (NSA) (http://www.nsa.gov) is the American chief code-breaking and code-making agency. Its budget is classified and thought to be twice that of the
CIA. Based on Maryland, apparently houses more computers than anywhere else on the planet, and is responsible for the
Data Encryption Standard, a cipher that government agencies and
private companies are supposed to use in order to keep confidential info on private citizens.
